Where's [MOM]?

    How in the world did [DAD] form? You may be pondering this question that only a few current members of [DAD] know. I am typing this to clear up any questions that people may be contemplating.
     Well, it started around November of the year ?2000?. There was a clan called [SoC], Scouts on Crack. The leader was The Judge. He came to QdadQ's server and decided to start a clan and recruited QdadQ, Dragon, and CLAW. Then along came 2ndLtRyan with his clan called [CSS], which stands for Combat Service & Support. Then like a month later, Dragon (who claims that he did not do this, but I am sure he did) recruited nightprowler, who was at the time, killa. A few days later, he recruited The Daywalker. Then DIE was recruited. The clan was growing strong. Pretty soon, The Judge was having computer problems and was unable to play TFC until it was fixed. Dragon kept in contact with him through e-mail. About a month later, Dragon was not recieving anymore e-mails from him. Then that is when some members you see now in [DAD] decided to form their own clan. We were fooling around with names. I believe it was QdadQ who came up with [MOM], Mean Old Men, since many of our members were, how do I say, well, for lack of a "better" term, OLD. Well, seeing as I was not (and still am not : ) ) an "old man", I put on a tag [DAD]. A few other members decided to place [DAD] in front of their name as a joke. At that time, [DAD] was not an acronym and did not stand for anything. Eventually, everyone who was in all three clans ([SoC][CSS][MOM]) got tired of the long name. So Dragon, now basically the leader of [SoC], decided to drop [SoC] and everyone followed. 2ndLtRyan also decided to drop his clan and everyone followed. Now it was either [MOM] or [DAD]. Everyone liked the sound of [DAD] since most of the "old men" were fathers. [DAD] was now complete.
     QdadQ and Dragon and 2ndLtRyan were now the "leaders" of [DAD] although noone every claimed to be "leader" but it was just a given. Over the next few months, [DAD] had recruited a few members, including 3rdDegreeBurnes, but not many. We all were a close bunch of people. We all used to play everyday on "our" server. Although the server was very laggy at times, since it could only hold eight people, we did not have many people join the game. No one in the clan cared much about the lag because we all enjoyed the people in our clan. That is when 3rdDegreeBurnes went to the server ViBigII, wanting to find a better server that gave him a better ping to play at while he wasn't playing at the [DAD] server. While he was there, he found a clan called [2404] and joined them and eventually quit [DAD]. Between that, 3rdDegreeBurnes told me about that server and I went there occasionally. I was attracted to [BSS], a clan with people more around my age. I was asked to join their clan and I agreed, but asked the "leaders" of [DAD] if I could. The reason I did was because [BSS] was having clan matches against other clans and I decided that I could better my playing that way. [DAD] had no problem with that so I joined [BSS]. Then it came to a point a few months later that I was beginning to realize that I was not playing with my closer TFC buddies, so I just quit [BSS]. Everyone in [BSS] was so stunned and bewildered. I told them that I quit the clan because I was not able to make their matches and practices as much as I should have been (which was true). So then I went back to playing with [DAD]. [DAD] started recruiting more members and we went on to having our first match. It was with the clan -AD-, although we lost, we learned that we needed to be better prepared. 3rdDegreeBurnes quit [2404] and went on to form his own clan, [Budo], on his own server, Boston Dedicated. Wavey, Dragon, and I went to play in this clan. However, there was a rule that you could only be in one clan. So, all three of us quit [DAD], unwillingly. [Budo] was a very intense clan, dedicated to perfecting our skills in TFC. I decided to quit [Budo] after about a month because I could not keep up with the practices and matches and went back to [DAD]. While I was gone in [Budo], [DAD] had another match. The match was with -AD- and was held on their server, which was bought from GTW and everyone was pleased with it. CLAW and HEAVY purchased a server from GTW a little later. This became our main server. Everyone enjoyed it. [Budo] fell apart and Dragon and Wavey came back to [DAD]. Now all original members were back, except for 3rdDegreeBurnes (who remains MIA, Missing In Action. Last seen - playing another game *GASP*)..
     On the ninth of January, CLAW registered [DAD] for OGL. The Leaders are CLAW, QdadQ, Dragon, and Wavey..
     We have added numerous talent to the clan, such as Spyder, Swoop, MadJr. We hope to be adding more to this great clan.
