The
Jahnkes is back. Time for my semi-annual update. Let's see, the last
time we talked was around the new year, the beginning of 2005. Now
the year's not over yet, we still have a whole lot to come, but my
birthday just passed and I figure it's a good time to say what's up
to yall.
To keep you up to date on things, at the end of July, I moved back
to PQ. No not because I couldn't hack it, but just because I took
over the house...sort of. It was gonna be like that, but now I live
with my sister, her 3 kids, and a dog. Instant family!
Anyway, I just turned 23 and if you're reading this you should know
what my birthday is. 23 sounds so young, but I keep joking with
people that I'm like 28 haha. I just threw my sister and myself a
birthday party, since her birthday is only a week after mine. Great
times with family, friends, and pancit palabok, made by yours truly.
haha. As you all know I don't throw parties often, but this was a
great experience. Who knows..maybe there will be more to come.
I'd like to thank everyone that came and celebrated with me. I had a
great time with everyone there and I want you all to know I
appreciate everything and I love everyone who attended. Not to sound
too cliche, ahh hell everyone knows I like cliches, but I really
wouldn't be who I am today without my family and friends. I know
it's hard to keep in touch with most people every day, and I'm
horrible at calling people back haha, but I truly appreciate having
all of you guys as my friends. Thank you JonnyBlazer for bringing
Mix Theory back, thanks to Drustar for taking some good pics and
handling the grilling, thank you Naomi and Vince for letting me
borrow the grill, thank you Jackie for picking up the cake all the
way in Eastside, thank you Jane and Frank for making some great
chocolate covered strawberries, and thank you Mitzie and your mom
for making a prize winning dish. I'd also like to especially thank
both of my sisters for helping with the setup and The Bobster
because he was the only one there the whole weekend, preparing,
partying, and cleaning. Thanks for everything man. I know you and
Diddy are best buds, but I know after this weekend that I can't be
that far behind haha. Thanks for everything.
Yes that sounds like an academy award speech, but go with it ok. I
think everyone kind of reflects on their life around their birthday,
and I did the same. No I haven't got everything figured out, but
that's what keeps things interesting. Are we supposed to have things
figured out by this age? Are we supposed to be anything at any age,
show me the book of rules that says I'm supposed to have graduated
college, have a full time job that I'm not crazy about, and
basically live in my own house. Like I said, I don't have everything
figured out, but I like where my life is going right now. I've got a
great family, awesome friends, a new car and new motorcycle. I like
life.
The Jahnkes has left the building.
