Electronics
For anyone who might look at this page, I plan to add some more of my projects along with some PCB drawings. Just incase you might like to make one of them
I am some what of an experimentor in the area and my latest exploration has been in the field of PICs or Programmable Integrated Circuts. They do make it a lot simpler to accomplish whatever your trying to make but they are EXTREAMLY sensitive. I have burnt up four of the six that I bought. I have now exausted the funds that I have set aside for them and have stoped my experementing.
Most of my experimintation is just assembling circuts that I find on the internet and experimenting with components pulled out of dead appliances (Its amasing how much fun can come from from a TV laying on the side of the road). However it seems that most of my electronics projects seem to never work, unlike my more mechanical ones.
HUDMy newest project is a Heads Up Display (HUD) for my truck, using a 16x1 VFD that to project the text. Right now I am strugling to find technical data on the OBD II ISO interface on my truck. Hopefully, I will be able to pull everything from my speed to the current barametric pressure from the cars computer. I am also trying to get the pic to interface with a NMEA GPS so that i can get compas and other data. I'll try and get some pictures up soon. but untill then youll just have to guess how cool it looks.
My Last Project was a carrier board for a PIC 16F84 the board has the power supply, crystal clock and terminals for wire conections.

The board is homemade an the PIC plugs into the bottom. It is great for prototyping, all you do is programm the chip plug it in and attach the rest of the sensors, circuts and outputs into the proper terminals.
