Well...it was bluddy good!!!
Mark -vocalist- didn't think we'd "go down very well" and there was a slight worried atmosphere throughout. This was soon quashed by a great sound, and also a generally great day.
THE SELLOUTS came up to sing backing vocals on one song, and 'Erupting' did as it always does: Erupted...
The festival was great, and as world music is key in the title, there had to be some world music. This (today) came from such variety as a local Clog Dance Group to a Samba Percussion band, and reggae throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone who turned up!
I also noticed some guys taking pictures, so expect 'em on the site any time...

Well, two gigs in one day has really... hurt!
We rushed from Hitchin back to Welwyn Garden, and Monkey C, Monkey Do played a great set, consisting of:
'Hey Joe' (we always do that one!) by Jimi Hendrix.
'Sunshine of Your Love' by Cream.

Lastly, we played a funky thing, which "kicked off" into a drum solo from Dennis White (which rocked) and then into a great blues/rock piece, on which veteran guitarist/drummer etc. and also guitar teacher, Rene Steenvorden played some lead...Mmm, niiice!
Later on, local punkies THE SELLOUTS played.
Again, thanks to everyone who turned up.

Monk's Walk School - "Rock Concert"

'Monkey C, Monkey Do' (formerly White Room) will play a set at around 7:30pm.

Tickets 2.50

Matt will be playing Bass/ Guitars, and also on vocals.
I didn't add it to the gig list because it was a little school gig, but on Thursday, 18th July we played a number at Monk's Walk Summer Concert as 'Monkey C, Monkey Do'.
James was apprehensive because of the audience etc. being that it was, for the most part, a classical concert. The first 'rock group' played Blink 182's All The Small Things, and were not received too well...
Up we got, and began the funk/jazz/rock/blues bass part which leads into Dennis' drum solo. After the solo, we began the blues part to finish, but the lighrs went out, plunging the Drama Studio into absolute darkness. We played the rest of the song in pitch black, and it really sounded great!!!
An eventful evening, and the group was praised for it's professionalism in such  a weird situation.
