Between 1997 and 1999, in Des Moines, Iowa, one of the most twisted bands was being formed. 9 friends decided to get together to form the heaviest band to ever hit mainstream music today.
This new sound created by one drum, two percusioin sets, two guitars, one DJ, one singer, one bassist and one multimedia manager, did not only come with a terrifying sound, but also a terrifying image, all men wearing masks, each with there own sick look.
The badn got an imidate success in 1999, when they went on tour with the Ozzfest. There album was not even out at the time and there was already a buzz on the streets about them. Medless to say that when there album came out tehy had a imidiat success.
the following year they headlined there own tour, tattoo the earth. They hvae not released there second album yet, but it is eagerly anticipated.
Slipknot will continue to create sick, intense music as long as they can, proving that Hard rock is still very popular among youths of today.
