Among the wave of new bands found at the end of the last decade, one band marked me the most, Incubus.
Incubus first got know in 1998, during the family values touyr that included bands such as rammstein, Korn and Limp Bizkit. That tour regrouped the best new talented available at that time.
At that point in time, the band had already released two albums, 1996's Enjoy Incubus and 1997's Science. The band gained incredible popularity in 1999, with there third album, Make yourself. They then released a short album with only 6 songs. The album named, When Incubus attacks, was composed of acoustic versions of songs, two live songs and a song never released on a Incubus album. They rereleased there first album under the name, Fungus Amongus, at the end of 2000
What makes the bands sound so different from all the others is the "funk" sound mixed with the touching deep lyrics of singer Brandon Boyd. The band keeps a soft side on many of there songs, yet can provide intensity in them as well, making them easy and enjoyable to listen to.
I personally wish that the band keeps having success and start getting the respect they finally deserve.
