In too many families expectations and reactions according to the sex of the child aren't the same. For exemple parents generally aren't embarrassed by their son's sexual life and are more by their daughter's and this lead them to hide it.
School Education
It does exists "traditional" differences of specialization according to the sex :
Girls are in the arts whereas boys are in the technical (industrial) and the scientific. Technical and scientific sectors are those which today lead to power.
Boys are educated on the competition principle and have less difficulties to confront others.
Besides, girls generally don't choose a job in which they are poorly represented. For exemple, they don't choose mechanics because there are few female machanics whereas in a family in which the mother is researcher,the daughter would have a tentancy to turn to the scientific sector.
Women do sensible choices because they anticipate their social and family situation.
Women have more difficulties to integrate into the workplace with a same degree. There are more women in the public sector because it is less dicriminatory from a salary point of view.
There are more men to be found in the private sector which permits a better social advancement, a better salary often at the expense of the privite life.
In United States , women who have earned college degrees make just 4.708 dollars a year more than men who only have high school diplomas.
The unemployment rates are STILL stronger for women, the differences of salaries STILL exist, and the family functionment is STILL turned to the males' profit.
This gender differentiation is explanable and NOT natural.
