Q: What do I need to start?
A: A cable - data+service is best, Windows OS, enthusiasm.
Q: Cable??
A: There are four kinds of cable:
1.service - for flashing, unlocking...
2. data - for changing wallpapers, ringers, managing contact list, schedule...
3. service+data - all-in-one
4. shitty - not recommended. Widespread, cheap, piece of junk.

Q: How about the Windows version?
A: I myself have done it under 98, 2000, XP and 2003 Server.
Q: How do I put all the games and programs?
A: You need a special firmware patch - NiMar's OOK3 to unleash the hidden power of your Sony :)
If using J5/6 you may also use r00t's MOD - has some pretty amazing features.
Q: What is Firmware?
A: The firmware is a combination of software and hardware. It is data written onto ROM.
Q: How do I apply a patch?
A: In a few easy steps:
1.First you need to download the official 3.10/4 firmware.
2. Download the patches you want.
3. Download ISPWin and SBS Convertor.
4. Use ISPWin to apply the patch(es) to the firmware .bin file.
5. Convert the patched .bin file to .sre file using SBS Convertor.
The only thing left you have to do is flash the new firmware to the phone.
(Note: You may also want to backup your data. Use the Flash Loader program. Press "Get Data" in the User Data section)
Note: r00t's firmware comes as a whole, a single file.
Q: How do I flash?
A: Use Flash Loader or Flash4. Set the COM port to which the cable is connected and the speed - 115200bps. Your phone must be turned off! Load the .sre file and power on your mobile when prompted. In less than 3min you're done. Welcome to the club :)
Q: Now what?
A: Simply choose which programs and/or games you want and upload them to the phone using OOK Manager or USR Explorer. Don't forget to set the COM port when working with these programs.
Also, very important, don't forget to upload the external libraries (.lib files)!! There're convenient buttons in OOK Manager to do that.
Q: What is 18-16 or 02-09?
A: These are section (slot) numbers. Phone memory is divided into sections, 18-xx are "big" and can hold up to 21Kb while 02-xx are "small" and are 2Kb of size. The majority of programs should be uploaded in big slots.
Q: A game/program doesn't work.
A: Various reasons:
1.Wrong firmware version.
2. Errors during upload.
3. Phone memory full.
4. External library not uploaded
5. Other - still it's a hack :)
Q: What are the external libraries?
A: You need them in order to run some programs/games. OOK library is indespensable, while you need the PRGLoader library if you'd like to run programs written for r00t's firmware.
