Are these wanna-be, "I'm to hip to drive a mini-van" but, panzy, "the only off-road this
SUV Crap will see is a speed bump", just plain annoying?!?!?!?,....

Just what can you do with a Toy motor,......
Once I had a '70 VW in '86 that I tweek out, (bored to
1835cc, cam, dual carbs, etc),......that surprised a few TA's, 'stangs,
Camero's off the line & took them a bit, (not much), but enough to earn the respect to have them come up to me & ask, "what the hell do you have in there?!!!",.....(while you're sitting there barkin' tires the first sec. or so, I'm down the street),....yes, you catch me in 3-6 sec,.....but long enough to get you thinking,.."What the!!!,........
Now I have a '76 pick up w/a 20R, body kinda beat up, & was
wondering about how to get some more spunk out of it
but yet, keepin' it simple enough to be a more or less a
hastle free work truck yet makes you want to drive it, &
after serching around a bit, this is what I've found so far,.........
This is just my place to organize my notes & stuff & thought
I'd just link it to my page for the hell of it.
I need links, info, etc,... for circle track Toy trucks,
it had spunk & was a BLAST to drive,
If I do decide to tweek on this one, here's my saga, tips, etc,.......

Just bought the truck, '76 PU w/20R
The Splitfire's ain't too bad for the $20, an improvement,.....it's only 20 bucks & a quick change,...
Exhaust broke at the flaired part where the pipe bolts up
to the manifold, so I figure it's a good time to get the headers.
Headers make a noticable improvement in the mid range, just a bit too high but,...tell a difference
Cheap headers,...a constant back fire when I let off the gas,... blew a hole where the 4 pipes merge into the collecter,...people who drive mini-vans & SUV's, (no mud or scratches), tell me to go back to the stock manifold,....ya right!!!
Lookin' for some better headers & the back fire that cause this problem in the first place

are still sitting in the box,...( all I can find for a '76),...can't free up the work truck to ge 'em on,...
(11/00 up-date on headers),
sounded "GREAT" straight header to the muffler shop for the $20 hook up fee,...but over heated twice so can't give a note on proformance
Just bought a
'91 Pontiac Formula
So,...truck might be sittin' a bit
(1700 bucks would've bored a nice 22R block, got the compression up to 9:5, 10+,...port the heads, great cam, etc),.....
but, it's a Firebird,... & nice!!!
BUT,....I still need my work truck,....& the 7 foot bed to haul my drums & pa,....(what the hell to do),....
What to do,......just put 6k miles on the Firebird in 2 months, (need to get the truck back on the road),.....well,...when you you wake up & think, "do I drive the truck or the 'Bird",.....you put 6k miles on the 'Bird!!!,....
25k in 10 MONTHS!!!,....need to get the truck back on the road & quick, 100 miles a day is too much
Sold the truck to the Yard.
Problems w/smog, laid off, city threating to fine & tow, etc,....
When I first got the truck, it was HELL trying to find the info I wanted so,
I leave the page, besides, if things start getting crazy with the 'Bird,
or a band project comes up soon, I'll need a a way to haul my kit & PA.
