IV.  Be completely honest:

      a.  Honestly
acknowledge the sins that may have contributed to your condition (Ref. Psalm 32:1-6).
      b.
Humble yourself before God (Ref. James 4:6 and Luke 14:11).
      c.
Confess all known sins before God (Ref. I John 1:9).
      d.  Be willing to
renounce (i.e., put away) your sins (Ref. Proverbs 28:13 and Isaiah 55:7).
      e.
Forsake not only the sin but also the evil thoughts surrounding that sin.  This involves a complete turning
away from the habit or sin.

V.  Begin Deliverance:

It is time to cast out the evil spirits now that you are saved, have forgiven everyone, earned of your authority,
and have been completely honest with yourself and God.

      a.  Find a place where you will not be disturbed or interrupted.  A study, bedroom, or even a bathroom will do!
      b.  Bind the strong man.  The 'strong man' is usually the strongest spirit within, and quite possibly, the first to
have gained entry.  In order to 'spoil' the house, this character must be dealt with either by name, if known,
or with the words, "I bind the strong man within me in the Name of Jesus"
(Ref. Matt. 12:29).
      c.  Name the demon!  Command him to come out of you in the Name of Jesus.  You don't have to yell.
Talking in a normal voice with authority will do
(Ref. Luke 8:29-30).
      d.  If you feel the urge to take a few deep breaths or cough, do so!  Demons almost always leave their victims
through coughing, yawning, sighing, belching, sneezing, roaring, screaming, and sometimes even vomiting.
Don't be surprised at what may happen.  If the demon hasn't noticeably exited, repeat the process and wait

(Ref. Mark 1:26).
      e.  The following dislodging tactics are offered as further help in completing the deliverance process:

Jesus Name:           This name is the only authority by which one can deal successfully with the enemy

(Ref.  Philippians 2:10).

Jesus Blood:            Remind the spirits of Jesus death on the cross and His resurrection.  Make constant
mention of the fact that the candidate is covered with the Blood of Jesus and is God's
                                         property.

The Word:               Passages of scripture have been found to be very valuable in dislodging demons.  You
will soon find the ones that are most effective in your ministry.  Some  good starters
                                         are
Psalms 18:34-35, Gal. 3:13, and Rev. 18:20.

Praise, Worship       God has traditionally used these three elements to route the enemies of his people.  It

& Singing              is good to have one or more persons involved in this as the Lord leads

(Ref. II Chron. 20:22).

Persistence:            Stay on them!  Be vicious, aggressive, and forceful in attitude.  It is obvious that they
do not want to leave their prey, but it is also a forgone conclusion that they must.
Don't give up until they go.

Abasement:             It is important to remember that we are not dealing with attitudes, but with spirit
entities with actual personalities.  They are proud like their 'father' and won't stand
up long under belittlement.  So razz them!  Tell them how weak and impotent they
are as you remind them of the judgment and the lake of fire.  Threaten them with
being sent to Tartarus and they will be removed more quickly
(Ref. II Peter.2:4).

Name The Demon:   Sometimes just the naming or the mere repetition of the name (function) of the
demon is sufficient to dislodge it.  An example of this would be:  "Spirit of lust come
out of me now, lust come out of me!" On occasion, the  speaking in tongues can
                                          speed up the process.

Remember that the demon has to go if you have met all of God's prerequisites.
Keep commanding the demons to leave and they will go!  Above all, be persistent.
