Ah yes, music, without it I don't know what I'd do. Whatever your feeling, there's a type of music that you can listen to. I listen to about everything except country. My favorites are alternative and metal, but I'm also a big fan of rock, especially some of the older stuff. Most people just listen to what's on the radio and don't go back and listen to the bands that paved the way for that kind of music. I really enjoy going to concerts as well, if you like music but have never been to a concert, your missing out. It's a rush to say the least. Some concerts that I've been to include The Who, Ozzfest 99 thru 01, Tom Petty, and Tattoo the Earth. I'm going to include little reviews of the concerts I go to from now on, and will put links here, so check that out.
Concert Reviews
The best concert I've been to was The Who. Hands down. I don't think anything can beat that. Hearing Baba O'Riley and My Generation, among all the other hits they played kicked arse. Seeing the living legends that are The Who was amazing.
The second best concert I've been to is Tom Petty in 2001. I saw him two years prior to that on his Echo tour, but that didn't even compare to him playing all his classic great songs to numerous to name here. Some of my favs, Don't Come Around Here No More and Free Fallin were great to hear live. You can't beat one of the songs he used as an encore either, Bob Dylan's Rainy Day Women(Everybody must get stoned).

The other ones fall in around somewhere after that. Not only were they my favorite concerts, but obviously they are some of my favorite bands as well. A few of my other favorites include Offspring, Sabbath/Ozzy, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Rob/White Zombie, Stone Temple Pilots, Slipknot, (hed) pe, System of a Down, and MuDvAyNe, and last but not least, The Beach Boys. This is now where near a complete list, I easily have over 100 CDs, and don't have all the CDs of other bands that I like either. |
