Well, I'm assuming you came here from a link from the "main page" grouping of all the links, if not, and you want to see what I'm talking about, click this link here to go to it.
So a lil scared to read through all those articles, eh? Alrighty, I'll try to appease you. First off, I'm sure your a weightlifter or at least want to start lifting weights, so I'll give you some articles about lifting, training, etc. I'm still recommending you read all the Dawg School articles if you haven't already, it will help you out with many basic mistakes and questions. Then a few articles on training design and mistakes you can make, and then some nutrition articles.
Nutrition and diet is one of the hardest things to follow through on, but can be done with perseverance. The articles I'm giving will basically show you good foods to eat, and also, foods to avoid. Just trying to eat from these certain foods and avoiding others will help a lot. There's also an article about different diets, also good to read and use if your interested in one of the diets.
Dawg School - learning for newbies/review for oldies (at LEAST read the "*" ones)
| Bodybuilder's Hiearchy of Needs ** | Dawg School I |
| Dawg School II | Dawg School III |
| Dawg School IV | Dawg School V* |
| Dawg School VI *(liftin program in article) | Youth Gone Wild * |
|
Training Principles- Gotta know HOW to train |
|
For the bare minimum, find a lifting program from the "Training Guide" articles
|
Nutrition- The REAL secret to gains
| Foods to make u look good naked * | Diet Mistakes * | FrankenFoods(bad food choices) * |
| Essential Berardi Diet & Exercise II | Diet Manifesto * (shows different diets) | Lean Eatin II (scroll down to food list at bottom) |
There you go, nothing but the basics, although I do recommend stretching after your workout.
Pretty much, you could look through the Training Guide articles, find a weight routine, and read the Diet Manifesto, and pick a diet. Right there you would have the basics, training routine and diet. Although reading through more articles would make you more knowledgeable and give you more options. But it's your choice. If you make it through all of these, I recommend going back and reading through more of the articles, perhaps in the area that interests you the most. And definitely read some of the Atomic Dogs, GREAT STUFF!
Other than that, you should now have the basics of training. Eat good, train good, rest and supplement wisely, and you'll be amazed at your progress.
