One of the best resources I've found on the web is T-Nation, No BS, just right on information on training principles, techniques, nutrition, and articles to motivate and get you the results you want in the gym. It's turned into an online community of weightlifters. New articles coming out almost daily. For free.
There's well over 1000 articles on the site with all the prev. issues, I've picked out the best ones to help someone new to lifting, or someone who wants to brush up on their knowledge. Articles with a star(*) are highly recommended ones, but all of these articles contains good information for newbies and oldies alike.
Since I started this, it has become quite a bigger collection of links, and I've been told by some it's a little intimidating, so I've made another page condensed with just the basics that will help you out if your just starting and a little overwhelmed with all of the information and links here. Along with some tips from me on it, you should easily get the basics covered. Click Here. |

Supplements & Ads Exposed
About supplements, some work, some don't. You just have to make sure you get it from a reputable company. Creatine is one of the most studied and used supplement available, just make sure you don't get a cheapo filler creatine product.
My recommendation is Biotest for supplements, great quality and taste for everything I've tried from their product line, plus they have great customer service as well. For creatine, just get a plain, powdered creatine, nothing fancy, Prolab has a good quality creatine product. Vitamins: mega men, centrum, twinlab, any should do. If your interested in any of the Biotest supps, I usually have some extra stuff lying around that I haven't gotten to using that I could sell to you.
Other than that, you should now be more knowledgeable than 90% of people who lift and say they know something about training. Eat good, train good, rest and supplement wisely, and you'll be amazed at your progress.
