Biggest Lie: "People from Paris are way rude" (I
haven't met a single rude person in Paris) This portfolio to me is extremely significant. Not only because it is my first photo portfolio but also because it's the first time ever that I've called myself a "Photographer". In the few days I've been in Hainan and the 2 weeks in Paris and London, I've taken out 37 photos to be in this portfolio and these photos...although do not document my trip fully, they do document all the significant feelings I've experienced throughout the trip. My time in Paris was amazing. The city is absolutely beautiful and it's all so photogenic. The Louvre Museum was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! Going to live in that city one day for sure. London was great too although everything was way expensive (A bottle of coke costs more than a handbag over here in Hong Kong)! During my stay in London, we've been the subject of racism (at McDonald's...can you believe it?!) and an 'attempted' con by some weird English dude. Both were extremely amusing and hell loads of FUN and so needless to say - we learnt a lot from this vacation...and...more importantly, I bought a whole stack of Vinyl Records (from Bill Haley and the Comets to the Rolling Stones...including TWO picture discs)!! Sad to say though, during my time in London, I have NOT watched a band show...I could have watched Snow Patrol but didn't in the end. Throughout the trip, I've visited numerous famous monuments and yet, have decided not to take photos of them. Although I have taken photos of the Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower, those photos have not been my best in the portfolio. When you're looking through the lens of a camera, the simpler things like a telephone pole may seem much more interesting...and the ever changing images such as children playing on the beach seem much more worthwhile. So...enough talk and trying to sound deep (which is tiring) >> View Photos |
