What competitors are doing right:
- Using bright bold and contrasting color schemes
- Simple and easy-to-use layouts
- Family-oriented approach
- Have e-commerce for brand-related merchandise attached
- Have many pictures attached
What competitors are doing wrong:
- Only marketing to families
- Pages all appear very childish
- Only show permanent activities such as businesses
- Don't include activity descriptions, simply redirect to the company
How I can do it better:
- Plan on marketing to all people in the area rather than specifically to families
- Plan on using more mature themes
- Plan on marketing local events which I really wasn't able to find
- Plan on using my own descriptions for events and attractions rather than just redirecting
- Since my website is for a local area, it will allow it to be more in-depth than many of the others that simply pull up the first few things to do shown on Google
