Mykenzy Ford Design

Hi there! My name is Mykenzy Ford. I am a 22 year old self-taught artist from St. George, Utah. I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. As a child, drawing became a significant part of my identity. From the very start, I had such a strong passion for art. Some of my earliest drawings were of rainbows, family members, and Disney characters. Everyone in my life growing up knew me as "the artist." When I was about 11 years old, my grandma, an extremely talented painter, had me try my hand at painting. I picked it up very quickly. I began with acrylic paint, then tried out some watercolors. In my freshman year at middle school, I discovered my love for pottery and ceramics. I was introduced to ceramics in one of my art classes at school, while creating sculptures. I was then invited by the high school to come to an open studio after school every week. I created many sculptures, especially of pumpkins. Ever since then, I have created countless drawings and paintings, as well as some sculptures here and there. When I was in my senior year of high school at Tuacahn High School for the Arts, I began commissioning artwork. I am now studying graphic design and minoring in art at Utah Tech University.
