Dye Process
We wanted to show parts of our dye process. To help other's learn and give some pointers for the process we follow. Through the begining of the photos you will see dry dye being measured out. If making liquid dye it is then funneled into the needed bottle size and filled with warm water. The dye bottle is always shaken, never stired. Your whites are then preped by letting them soak in a soda ash and water mixture for at least 20 minutes. Your whites can then be rung out by hand or placed in your washing machine for a spin only cycle. You can tie your whites in the pattern of your choosing, using several different methods; from rubberbands, sinew, to different types of clamps. Your whites are now preped for the dye method of your choosing.

We like to share ideas and give inspiration to other artists. This is some of the work we have done. Please go through the photos and let us know what you like! We are happy to remake any older pieces or do a special order!
