As a native of Mobile, NL, Suzanne is currently working for Scotia
Recycling in St. John’s promoting both a safe and healthy working
atmosphere for her fellow workers. Suzanne has received a Bachelor of
Technology of Environmental Studies from the College of Cape Breton
and a Diploma Marine Environmental Technology from the Marine
Institute.
In 2001 Suzanne had the opportunity to travel South East Asia where
she worked for SEAFEC (a fisheries related organization) as a
fisheries support specialist. During her time, she undertook a
three-month responsible fishing program and spent some time on the
Indian Ocean researching tuna. As an added bonus to her exciting work
experience, Suzanne was also able to travel other areas of South East
Asia.
Other work experiences include participating in the delivery of
environmental education to elementary and junior high students through
the Marine Institute and the Avalon East School Board.
