Air travel

Air Canada (http://www.aircanada.ca), the primary carrier to St. John’s International Airport, provides connections to and from all major cities via its own flights and those of its partners in the Star Alliance network. The airport is also served by CanJet (http://www.canjet.ca) and JetsGo (http://www.jetsgo.com) from several major centers in Canada and the United States. In addition, Continental Airlines has announced that it is inaugurating daily service between Newark Liberty Airport, New York, and St. John’s on June 1.

By Road

Driving to St. John’s is best combined with a vacation! Transport to the island of Newfoundland is by ferry, (http://www.marine-atlantic.ca), either by daily service between North Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Port-aux-Basques (a full day drive from St. John’s) or between North Sydney and Argentia (approximately a 90 minute drive from St. John’s).
