Bill Forward
After completing several coastal zone management projects both Nationally and Internationally, this Carbonear-born native now works at MI International (Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland) as a Global Program Placement Assistant. In this current position he overlooks 22 interns in SE Asia, Africa, Norway and the UK. Formerly as an intern with this program, Bill Forward spent 6 months in the island state of Palawan in the Philippines conducting growth studies on Trochus niloticus and Epinephelus malabaricus. Previous to that he created a compendium of fisheries and resource research in Nunavut 1970-2000 for the Center for the Sustainable Aquatic Resources at MI. Bill has graduated with a diploma in Marine Environmental Technology (2000) and an advanced diploma in Coastal Zone Management (2001) both at the Marine Institute. Bill currently volunteers with Coastal Zone Canada (youth conference) and has future plans of piloting ROV’s internationally for coastal zone and oceans research. http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/billy.forward/Resume.htm
