Adopt An Animal

In 1995 the U.S.S. Czar'ak began participating in the MN Zoo's Adopt an Animal program. Currently we are adopting animal at the Como Zoo.

This year we are sponsoring a Saki monkey, which the crew has named "Curious George". We are raffling chances to help pay for the cost of the sponsorship, and the prize is a plush stuffed Saki monkey.

The cost is $2.00 per chance or, for those bargain hunters, 3 chances for $5.00. (Random donations are also accepted) you may pay for the chances at one of the meetings, or mail you check (or money order) to:

Overseas Coupon Program

The Overseas Coupon Program sends coupons to military bases overseas in order to assist the families of service personnel. The base stores will often honor coupons for six months past their expiration. Clip only manufacturer's coupons. Sort them into "food" and "non food" categories and place them in separate packages (envelops work best). Add up the face value of the coupons (total amount to be saved if all coupons are used). Count the physical coupons. Write both totals on the outside of the package with your name. Turn them in to the Charities Officer at a Czar'ak meeting/event.

STARFLEET Stampede

Stamps for STARFLEET Stampede are sold to collectors. Proceeds are donated to charity. The stamps are any canceled postage stamps. The stamps must be in perfect condition (not torn, creased, or taped). The envelope should be trimmed so that there is 1/4 to 1/2 inch of paper all around that stamp. Mulitple stamps on the same envelope should not be separated. Stamps on dark color envelopes, such as red envelopes, are not acceptable. Count the physical stamps. Write both totals on the outside of the package with your name. Turn them in to the Charities Officer at a Czar'ak meeting/event.
