| College After graduation I started working on my bachelor's degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. I didn't really know what I wanted to do when I started out and I still don't really know what I want to do today! I changed my degree to General Studies and had the opportunity to take all kinds of different classes and as a Junior found out that I really enjoyed Psychology. It's taken some bumpy roads, bad decisions and a few semesters off, but this December was my graduation. finally recieved my Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with a minor in Psychology. I also worked on campus for 3 or 4 years while studying, and also enjoyed it. I plan to eventually get my Master's Degree, but since the education field isn't looking too promising right now, and I wanted to become a High School Counselor, I'll probably wait a bit, until I find something else that I'd like to do. I'm thinking of applying to OU Pharmacy School, but I'm not sure if I can go back to school full time in OKC with a 2 yr. old and my husband working out of town for 7 days a a time! I have about 6 classes that I'd need to take so I'll go ahead and start taking them and decide after I get thsoe prereqs. taken care of. Career Right now, I am staying at home enjoying motherhood. Josh got certification in Heating & Air but is working on an oil rig. He really likes his job - - he works with Greywolf Drilling. I plan to just be a stay-at-home-mom until I get my kid(s) in school. I also just won a position on the Cyril City Council! Hobbies & Activities Well, you know me...I alway have to have too many irons in the fire and I'm still the same old me. I'm not even working right now, but I still feel like I have a busy schedule all the time. Besides just finishing school, and being a mother of one, in my spare time, most of my energy is going to the Cyril Beautification Committee (I'm the Secretary). It is a new organization in town that is working on renovating some of our run down areas and making Cyril a nicer (& cleaner) town to live in. We're trying to get back to that Cyril that I remember from grade school when everyone was proud to be a Cyril Pirate and the economy was better. You can read more about our main project, the Cyril Town Plaza by following the link. We've got some great projects going right now and are doing some great things for Cyril. I'm also the Secretary for the Industrial Development Authority, which is a City of Cyril committee that focuses on getting businesses in Cyril and improving the economy. I loved living in Edmond, but can't imagine raising my children anywhere besides Cyril (or a small town). It's nice to recognize the faces you see every day and get a friendly hello from the people you pass by. So I'm working to make Cyril a nice, clean and friendly community that my son will enjoy growing up in. Another thing that has taken up a lot of my time, is trying to get moved and working on our house. We just bought Coach Lazenby's old house and are really glad to be out of the apartments and into a home of our own. It needs some work, but I've enjoyed getting to rennovate everything and fix things they way we want them. Our website is: http://www.geocities.com/campfamilywebsite - - you can check out some of our family pictures there. Well, I hope to see you all soon and I also hope that you're enjoying this website. I'll try to keep it updated often, so check back to see what's new with the Class of 1997!!! |

| Where I'm At Now Hi guys! Boy, if I'd only known where I'd be five years after graduation! I hope that everyone is happy and doing great. I'm back in Cyril now and enjoying small town life after 3 or 4 years in the city. Family I met Josh while going to the Christian Center and got to know each other through church. We started dating and after marrying my husband, Josh Camp, who had been a friend of mine for over six years, I moved back to Cyril. Then on December 23, 2000, that cutie in the picture over there was born and has been one of the greatest blessings and source of joy that we have ever known. He has a very sweet personality and is the perfect child :) He has been smiling and laughing since the day he was born and is a really good natured little boy. (He's just so cute and sweet...he reminds me of Sambo when he was a little boy - always happy and smiley!) He just turned two this past December. He loves riding his bicycle and staying with his Papa Dave & Grandma Kathy! |
