About the Society
The Cyprus Study Circle was formed in 1974 and numbers in excess of 200 members in four continents, all sharing an interest in Cyprus Philately and Postal History.

All interests are catered for, from studies of the Austrian Post Office in Larnaca, up to and including varieties on issues of the Cyprus Republic.

Meetings of the Society
Meetings
are held twice a year in London, and offer:

  • Displays
  • Annual Competitions
  • Auctions
  • An opportunity to meet and discuss the hobby with fellow Cyprus collectors

Communication is maintained by a quarterly newsletter, and our journal the Cyprus Circular Post, currently in its 13th volume. The Cyprus Circular Post is issued three times per year, and contains up to the minute information on Cyprus Philately, including details of new issues.

Philatelic Auctions
Our Auctions include 500+ lots of stamps, postal history, books, postcards etc (the summer auctions are especially large) with full postal bidding facilities available. Other services include the exchange packet (operates in the UK only) and a library of books which cover both Cyprus philately, and Cyprus in general.

eMail Forum
An email forum is operated between those of our members who have the facility, controlled by the Membership Secretary. This has been, and is, used effectively to pass information to members, and aid research projects.

Study and Publications
The members of the Study Circle have produced a number of Study Papers (see Useful Information), and are always working on additional material for new papers.

We also produce the Cyprus Circular Post circulated free to our members - copies of past issues are obtainable. (see also Useful Information).
