Leela and
Cynthia met at their last company - ShoppingList.com. Being one of the
first members of the company, Leela interviewed Cynthia for her
job position. Though Leela was Director of Data Operations and Cynthia
a software engineer, an unlikely friendship formed and the two became
very close friends. ShoppingList.com didn't survive the recent Internet
market downfall, but their friendship carried on. Leela is a very
caring, loving person, and it's through her tireless attention to details that
Cynthia and Greg's wedding planning finally came together.
Leela works at BillPoint (an EBay subsidiary) as their Director
of Customer Care and Payment Operations.

Ching and
Cynthia were roommates during their last year in college. Both raised in Nanjing,
China, with the same major and the same interests in music and cultural events,
the two immediately became close friends. They saw each other through numerous
ups and downs (including a car-turned-up-side-down-on-the-freeway accident)
and remained great friends. Ching was Greg's lab partner during college and it
was through Ching that Cynthia and Greg were officially introduced to each other.
Ching is living in Oakland and working in software development.

Bebo and Cynthia
were friends since the impressionable high school years when they were both
attending youth fellowship at the Chinese For Christ Berkeley Church. Bebo was
also roommates with Ching and Cynthia during their last year at college. The three
of them made a promise that they would be bride's maids at each other's weddings,
and indeed this is where you're finding them.
Bebo is also a software engineer in the Silicon Valley.

Joe and Greg met at the very first CS class they've ever taken at Berkeley, and
have been lab partners in almost every class they took together throughout
their college years. Joe is a philosophical, modest genius with very deep thoughts
(it's hard for him not to be, with a full name like "Joseph Henry Kent III"), and
there's just something about having him around that seems to calm people down -
a great trait for a Best Man. Joe and Greg enjoy each other's company immensely
and they often spend hours discussing "issues" over coffee and dessert. Joe
is an excellent cook and both Greg and Cynthia agree that Joe makes the best
home-made pizza from scratch.
Joe is Director of Technology at an Internet start-up in
Redwood City.

Greg has known Alex since for as long as he can remember. Though never in the same
school together, they were playmates and best of friends since the tender grade
school years. Since Greg is three years older than Alex, he has always considered
Alex his dear little brother, and Greg's family has long accepted Alex as the +1
member of the family.
Alex received his Bachelors in East Asian Language Studies from UC Irvine and aspires to
acquire substantial wealth from the Tokyo Lottery.

Shakib and Greg have been the best of friends since their freshman year at
Charter Oak High School in Los Angeles. They've been known to stir up
mischievous mayhem in P.E. and summer classes. They've - thank God! -
surpassed their immature youth and now prefers peaceful silence over
mayhem. They have stayed close friends
even though Shakib is living in Southern California and Greg is in the San
Francisco Bay Area. They speak on the phone often and know they'll always have
each other to count on in times of need.
Shakib received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Cal Poly and his MBA
from Claremont College. Shakib is working as a financial analyst for Cingular Wireless.

Bill and Greg go way back to their freshman year in college. Bill was Joe's
roommate for one year and the three of them dined together, took classes
together and even studied (or not, as the case may be) together. Bill is
bright, funny, patient and more than a little weird - all qualities which Greg
greatly admires. Just saying "Bill Kong" brings a smile to Greg's face. You can
consider Bill as Greg's invisible Groom's Man, the only reason why he's
invisible is because the number four is bad luck in Chinese tradition for
weddings. Bill will also be the Emcee at Greg and Cynthia's wedding reception,
where he will be very much visible and will entertain the wedding guests to no
end.
Bill is living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area as a product manager.
He is the founder of
Silicon Valley Product Management Association
and sits in the
Young Alumni Council for Cal.

Thi is happily married to Leela and was the co-founder of Cynthia's last company,
ShoppingList.com. Being extremely warm-hearted as they are, Thi and Leela have
given Greg and Cynthia many invaluable lectures and advice on wedding planning,
for they went through the same "struggle" (quite willingly, of course)
only three years ago. Besides being very knowledgeable in almost all things
possible and an excellent public speaker, Thi has many hidden musical talents.
Thi is an accomplished flutist and Cynthia
was able to persuade him to join the Hewlett-Packard Symphony Orchestra for
one season. Thi also has a beautiful singing voice and plays the guitar.
With an MBA from Stanford, Thi is Director of Product Management at eHealthInsurance.
