WATERFALLS
PAGE 6
For several years I have been chasing and  photographing waterfalls.  I have gotten better at it as time has passed.
The last few times I have photographed these on this page, I have had them put on floppy disc so they will reproduce on the website better.
The older ones that I have scanned do not seem to turn out as well.  As I can, I plan to redo as many in the local region as possible.  These are some that have turned out well.  I have others that I will add sooner or later.
Usually Jean or someone (most often, Robert) goes with me now when I go to photograph the waterfalls.  I do not need another broken bone to heal.

Some trips we take do not involve the photographing of waterfalls, although  many end up being some sort of photo session.
Several photos of waterfalls are on the tapes that we make when we go on our "trips."   Retirement has been good, but working parttime does interfer with our photo sessions.  We do need to do some work to pay for our treks.
Jean is not teaching because of her health.  I am working full time this year teaching science.  Doesn't leave much time for photographing or exploring.
Retirement is fun, but I stay much busier being retired than I did when I worked.  Where is the justice in that??
I have had three surgeries this year.  I am much better, but still cautious with my health.  No Alaska trip for me this year.
Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah Forest, NC.
This photo does not show the true picture of this falls.  It is a twin fall, but we could not get to a position to take both falls at the same time.  I do have other photos of both falls, but the site will not let me put them on this page.
Twin Falls about 10 miles above Rosman, NC.
Whitewater Falls is truly magnificent.  On the Index page, there is a website address to access to get more info about driving to the falls and about some of the urban legends about the falls and the local area.
Click on it and read about it and see some other photos of the area.
These falls skirt the North and South Carolina Borders.  Now that I have moved back to Pickens County, The falls are not as far as they were before. I have several different scenes in different seasons  of these falls.
I am moved back to Greenville(actually my address is Taylors) in the winter of 2003.  Maybe I will get more chances to photograph falls.

I do not know the name of this falls.  It is near the visitor center of the Nantahala National Forest.  We visited it when we went for a train ride into the Gorge.  We walked a very short distance to get the photo.  I used a zoom lens to get a close up of the falls.
