Welcome
Well, here's my site which I call the Cyber-Sidh. I call it such because in a way the Internet is an artificial Otherworld and each website is a little tomb in that world where we showcase snapshots of our selves or our products. I also call it the Cyber-Sidh because of the mythical/magical reference. I tend to use this site to host my various mini-essays and insights into life in general. Expect it to be sparsely-populated... hehe
This side of the site in particular, is meant to be W3C-compliant. My current host (Rogers Cable) isn't equipped with PHP and CGI is limited so I can't filter out those who come here with a sub-par browser. So far, I know it works with Netscape 7.0 and Firefox but since almost everyone's happily suckling at the Microsoft teat, I'll expect nasty emails from Internet Explorer users. Bah! You can all go to Hell!
Well, that'll teach me for being a prick. Rogers Cable has teamed up with Yahoo and given up all of their webhosting services to them, which means... GeoCities, yippie! My site just went from passable to crap. If nothing else, this nails home the argument that I should just fork over the money for a real webhost.
More motivation to shell out for a real host. I just got a notice that my site hasn't changed in a while. If it doesn't change soon, GeoCities will delete it. So, here's a paragraph to appease GeoCities.
Finally, some news, as of Aug. 1, 2006. My desire to fiddle with some PHP ideas has pushed me to the breaking point. Today, I signed up on a legitmate webhost and my account should be ready by tomorrow so I can pack my bags and head to a 'real' virtual house. Now, we'll see just how much my ambition outweighs my energy, hehe
