Hong Kong's Two Premier Business and Industrial
Organisations Visited Cyberport
Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) and Federation
of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) paid their visit to Cyberport on 29 April,
2003 and 5 May, 2003 respectively. Over 100 of their members in total
joined the program.
A series of programs were arranged for the 2 delegations.
Representatives of Cyberport and the project developer, PCCW, guided the
delegates to a sample office floor, the Network Operations Center, CyberPlaza
and the Visitor Center.
Mrs Betty Fung, Cyberport Coordinator, presented to the
delegates on the scope and development progress of the IT flagship infrastructure
as well as the tenancy and leasing status. Delegates were shown with a
film on the state-of-the-art IT & telecoms facilities in Cyberport.
The visitors were impressed with the film on the vision of Cyberport shown
at the Visitor Centre's 360 theatre. The visitors enjoyed the interactive
navigators at Visitor Centre, which demonstrated the application of different
technologies like infrared, air-touch, etc. in entertainment. HKGCC and
FHKI delegates expressed their appreciation on the programs which greatly
increased their understanding of Cyberport and its IT & telecoms facilities.

Mrs Betty Fung introduced to members of HKGCC the Cyberport
project and its development in a sample office floor with open ceiling
and raised floor.
