Official Launch Ceremony of the
Cyberport Green Minibus Service held on 13 Mar 2003
A ceremony which marked the official launch of the Cyberport
Green Minibus service (no. 69) was held on 13 March 2003 (Thu) at Cyberport.
This launch marked the introduction of a new generation
of state-of-the-art public light buses that serve Hong Kong's IT flagship.
The GMBs deployed to Route 69 are the first of its kind in Hong Kong,
not only in terms of their appearance but also the special features they
possess, which make them fully compatible with the image of Cyberport.
Officiating guests at the ceremony included Mr. Robert
Footman, JP, Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Miriam Lau Kin-yee, JP,
Legislative Councillor, Mr. Yeung Ka-sing, JP, Chairman of Quality Public
Light Bus Services Steering Committee, Mr. Lau Kwok-choi, JP, District
Officer (Southern), Mrs. Betty Fung, Cyberport Coordinator and Mr. Wong
Man-kit, Chairman of Aberdeen Maxicab Service Company Ltd.
GMB No. 69 runs daily from 7:00am to 12:00am along a
route that will include Causeway Bay, North Point and Quarry Bay, enhancing
transportation flexibility and comfort for Cyberport tenants and visitors.
