Cyberport Sponsored The 1st Digital
Entertainment Excellence Awards
The presentation ceremony was held at Cyberport on 6 May
2003. Mr Tang Ying Yen Henry, GBS, JP, Secretary of Commerce, Industry
and Technology presented the Cyberport Award to Gameone Online Entertainment
Group Ltd. who will receive a one-year free tenancy from HK Cyberport
Development Holdings Ltd.
Mrs Betty Fung, Cyberport Coordinator, said Cyberport
was pleased to be one of the sponsors of the event. The Award contributes
significantly towards promoting the development of the local digital entertainment
industry and enhancing its status both locally and overseas. She believes
that such event would nurture and support the small and medium enterprises
in digital entertainment industry. She expects the Cyberport Award winner
would foster a synergy effect with other IT companies at Cyberport.
A number of guests and media attended the ceremony to
witness and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the local digital
entertainment industry.
The Award was jointly organized by the Commerce, Industry
and Technology Bureau (CITB) of the Government of HKSAR, Hong Kong Productivity
Council (HKPC), Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA) and
Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA).
