'Sun Flare' could be the "poster rose" of the Floribunda class. A true bloom machine, flowers are borne continuously in sprays. The disease resistant foliage is so shiny that it is almost hard to believe the leaves are real. Even without flowers, this rose looks good. The bright, and I do mean bright, blooms do not fade so this rose looks great all summer no matter how hot the summer sun shines.

'Sun Flare' is hard to match for providing problem-free masses of bloom. 'Sun Flare' is fairly cold tolerant and very disease resistant. Some winter protection is advised.

'Sun Flare' impressed me from its very first season. The contrast between the bright color of the blooms and the deep glossiness of the foliage is an eye-catching standout. I am plagued by Japanese beetles and blackspot, but 'Sun Flare' seems to laugh in their faces. It is one of the best looking plants I have in the garden. The fragrance has been described as that of licorice, if that means a candy-sweet scent then I agree. This is truly an outstanding rose that no garden should be without.
