Folklore

Hybrid Tea 5'- 7'

Salmon color with yellow orange reverse, 44 petals, 4 1/2" blooms. Strong fragrance. Tall upright growth.

'Folklore' is a rose that I highly recommend to anyone new to rose-growing or to anyone who wants to grow a winning exhibition rose. This rose is vigorous, hardy, and fragrant. The large buds appear to be an almost "neon" orange shade with touches of cream then opening to perfectly shaped blooms in glowing tones of apricot-pink with a fragrance strong enough to satisfy any rose lover. The plant is extremely vigorous, so be sure to give it plenty of room to grow. It reached nearly 6' tall and 4' wide in its first year in my garden. Roses were plentifully produced the entire season and made excellent cut flowers for bouquets. Blackspot can affect this bush, but it is so vigorous that it will easily overcome any attack. Winter hardiness is great. It is one of the few roses I can leave off extra protection and not worry about its survival. Many people mistakenly report climbing sports of this rose. Every fall 'Folklore' will throw out some very tall canes just like a climber. This is just the nature of this particular rose.

I really enjoy the brightness of this rose's blooms and find them very pleasant to look at. I have been very impressed by the vigor and hardiness of this plant. Easy care and great flowers...what more can one ask for?
