Crystalline
|
Hybrid Tea 5-6'
'Bridal Pink' x ('Blue Nile' x ('Ivory Tower' x 'Angel
Face'))
Glistening snow white, exhibition blooms 30-35 petals on
tall bush. Medium sweet tea fragrance.
AROBIPY : Carruth &
Christensen, 1986
Large, pure white flowers with exhibition form are borne
usually singly with a moderate, spicy or sweet tea
fragrance. A top trophy winner as a cut flower,
'Crystalline' also deserves a top spot in the garden. |

It grows more like a grandiflora in the garden and requires vigorous
disbudding for rose shows. Foliage is medium green and semi-glossy on an upright, bushy plant.
It also produces large orange hips for fall interest. The heavy
number of blooms may cause the need for some support as the weight
can cause the stems to bend over. Quick to repeat, this plant always
seems to have roses ready for you to enjoy. Japanese beetles will
attack with a vengeance if a spray program is not maintained during
the heat of summer. No disease problems have been observed.
I seem to have a hard time growing white roses but this is easily
one of the best in my garden. 'Crystalline' makes wonderful bouquets,
loves the hot summer weather, and has proven to be hardy with some
winter protection. The blooms are very large and have enough
fragrance to satisfy my nose. With minimal maintenance, this rose
will thrive in your garden.
