bullet In case you reside from the south, particularly Butuan City, you can visit Butuanon.Org and try to savor the fresh air of Butuan. The site have greatly improve their discussion board and you may join if you like. I recommend this site to anybody who wants to learn some tricks about discussion board.

bullet Need some cyber storage for your stuffs. Go to FreeDrive.Com. They can give you about 50M of disk space to store your MP3s, Videos, and movies. Of course you can store as well ordinary files that you might need on the internet while your are away from your own PC. This site was formerly known as DriveWay.Com.

bullet Have you wonder where those people get such an awfully wonderful stuffs? Where else than in Download.Com. Here you can find almost every downloadable thing that your PC needs. From freeware to payware, name it and its certainly there. If the amount of downloadable software overwhelmed you, read first what others are saying before you pick up something. It's really worth a visit.

bullet Election time! whotovote.com and botohan.com can provide you with the list of candidates, both local and national, as well as some election updates.

bullet What happened on September 11, 2001 has really brought great impact to the cyber citizens. I've seen so many websites close down. Some of my favorite hang-outs no longer exist. Well, at least, those that mange to stay are either have deeper pocket or have formidable allies in the form of subscribers or frequent visitors.

bullet For those computer enthusiasts I recommend you to visit tomshardware.com. Featured in this sites are reviews, tips, and comparison of latest computer hardware available in the market, useful information about maintaining or upgrading your PC's and lots more. Novice and pro will surely find this site useful and informative.

bullet In case you are not yet aware of it, there is a web browser that offers a 3-D like window on pages you are viewing. You can view five pages simultaneously as the window resembles like a cube. All of the pages are active and what's more, you can rotate or zoom on any pages that is active. Try visiting 2CE.com and see for yourself. There is a draw back though and I would like to mention it. Unlike Internet Explorer or Netscape this browser is not free although it offers a free trial version. Also, you better check first if your computer satisfies their minimum system requirements. Older computer or operating system will surely not qualify and it is depressing if you download it first and know later that it will not work.

bullet I received some questions asking me which search engine is the best. In my humble opinion, I suggested to them three sites and I would suggest the same to all of you. Whenever I look for something, I always go to Google.com first. Why, because they have substantial amount of web pages on their database (over 2 billion and still keep on searching). Most likely, obscured web pages can be found here. Excite.com is the first search engine I've discovered to offer other means of searching than just websites. To give due credit to them, I use their site to search for images and other stuffs. Lately though I noticed that google, altavista and others offer similar services. Raging.com (maintained by Altavista) offers a faster option because it is text-base. Apart from that it has a language filter so that only the desired language will turn up. If you are using an older system, this search tool is your best alternative.

bullet The global economic situation has change the landscape of the cyber world. Many of the websites that I frequently visited had vanished like bubbles. Others resorted to asking premium for its services just to survive. Take for example FreeDrive.Com, before, you can use it as your hard disk on the web where you can freely save and manage your files in it for free. Now, although you can still maintain an account for free, you can not save anything from there unless you pay a certain amount every month. If you have a free account all you can do is download what other members had deposited into your account. Do you know that they have deleted the entire copy of this website without even informing me? Really disgusting... 2CE.com is another casualty. That just mean that the cyber citizens has just been denied of a unique 3-D browser. Hopefully when the global economy would pick-up we can see new and exciting development.

bullet If  you are worried that while on the cyber world somebody is watching your every move or has already taken control of your computer without your knowledge, then I guess its now time to put a firewall between your computer and the outside. Firewall by the way is either a software or a hardware that you can install in your computer so that you will become invisible while on the internet. A word of caution though. Although most of the products available on the market can shun away  intruders, not all of them can give you total protection. However, I have found one that protects you both from inside and outside. If you are interested try zonelabs.com and pick up one that benefit you. Their Help file contains valuable stuffs about internet protection. It is a must read specially for newbies.

Now, if you want to test the integrity of you firewall, you can download a small file called "Leak Test" from grc.com. By the way, take your time and roam around this website and the supplied links to learn more about internet protection and other facts.

bullet For music lovers out there, you can download or share audio/video files using Morpheus, BearShare, AudioGalaxy or Kazaa. As of this writing, I think Kazaa is much better because you can download or share using p2p not just audio/video files but games, images, documents and other software as well. Be forewarned though that this sites are the haven of many spywares and some downloadable items might contain viruses that may wreak havoc to your innocent computer.
