For the 22nd consecutive year the Comox Valley
Roping Club will be hosting the Courtenay Rodeo July
25/26, 2009. This highly successful event involves over 225
contestants from BC, Alberta, Washington and Oregon. More than
100 dedicated volunteers make this weekend happen and 1500 plus
happy rodeo fans fill the grandstands.
Numerous local organizations are involved in the yearly Comox
Valley Rodeo. The 4-H Club, Yana, Vancouver Island Barrel
Racers, Comox SPCA, BC Ambulance Service, Comox Valley
Therapeutic Riding Society, North Vancouver Island Horse
Association, Comox Valley Fall Fair Association and many
others, get down in the dirt with us to make some hard earned
funds for their respective organizations.
Thirty years
ago the Comox Valley Roping Club formed with the
mandate to promote rodeo sports for all ages. The Courtenay
Rodeo has since then developed into the third largest amateur
rodeo in BC. Due to the success of our yearly rodeo we have
expanded from our original purpose to also become a benevolent
organization and have, over the past 10 years been able to
support many other worthy groups such as YANA and Asian Tsunami
Relief.
Twenty years of
successful rodeo could never happen without the much appreciated
support of community businesses like yours. Our success is
directly due to your contributions and community spirit. We
truly look forward to discussing with you the formation of a
partnership in supporting the rodeo tradition here in our
beautiful Comox Valley.

Any amount under $100 is entitled to free entry to the 2 Rodeo
performances
