Timing Chain Cover Alignment:
The timing chain cover did not fit correctly when first installed. The front seal was too low, so the when the harmonic ballancer was installed, the seal would leak. This is how I aligned the front timing chain cover so the seal would not leak.
Fitting the Timing Chain Cover
The two hollow dowls align the timing chain cover when installed on the block. They are located on the two lower bolt holes on the timing chain cover and block. But the seal alignment will have to be check and if it does not align correctly you will have to install the timing cover without the gasket or sealent and tap the cover until the seal is aligned correctly.

This timing covers front seal was too low, so the gap on the bottom of the seal was too big.

With a rubber dead blow hammer, hit the cover a few times and the front seal was aligned.

Install the front cover with sealent, a gasket, and the bolts making sure the seal is still aligned.
