I imagine you have done some research for wedding videographers already and haven't had much fun in the process. After collecting a bunch of promotional literature, reading through too much fluff, and scrolling through countless web sites, you usually come to the packages that are offered and attempt to compare all the details. Sick of packages? Reality Check: DITCH THE PACKAGING! Reality Check's "One Price - One Package" wedding videography includes the popular extra features you want, and the quality you'll love, for a cost you deserve.
There's little point in blabbing... endlessly promoting ourselves in writing! See our work in person! Check out the Video Gallery on our web site for a taste, and then Contact Us for a meeting and viewing of our work. However, there are a few things that RC boasts about. RC Shoots in widescreen, shoots great video with or without a tripod, shoots with audio always in mind, and finally, masterfully edits your wedding video.

THE QUALITY YOU'LL LOVE...
Widescreen Format: RC is an advocate for and strongly recommends having your wedding shot in widescreen. (This statement usually produces two responses): 1. "UGH! Not the Black Bars of Death!" (OK, I'm exaggerating... a little.) 2. "Oh, cool!" A large percentage of the public is generally unaware that widescreen is the new standard. Just take a look at any electronic store's circulars or walk into any store's electronics department and you'll see almost every TV is in widescreen. The next TV you buy new will almost assuredly be a widescreen TV. Most people have at least heard of High-Definition (HD), but many just don't know that HD's standard is widescreen, and when HD over-the-air broadcasting totally replaces the old signals in 2009 (less than two years away), any new programs will assuredly be in widescreen. It is important to remember, unless you are watching a movie, there are no top and bottom black bars when you watch a widescreen program on a widescreen TV. Besides technical reasons, there are aesthetic reasons. Movies are shot in widescreen (although usually wider than video). We naturally see with our eyes more like rectangle-like widescreen than in the square-like old standard. Framing a shot can be very creative in widescreen. During the ceremony vows, you can see, in a close-up, the Bride and Groom AND the Maid of Honor and Best Man standing next to them. During the Reception, All the people sitting at a table can also be seen in a close-up. Two things can be easier-seen happening at the same time in the foreground and background. Tripod, Monopod, & Hand-held Shooting: Knowing when to use a tripod during a wedding is important, but knowing when to get off the tripod is equally as important. And being able to shoot fantastic video hand-held is a rare ability that RC posesses. I've edited a lot of videographers' work, and not many shoot really great hand-held video. RC shoots the ceremony itself with a tripod, but much of the reception dancing is shot hand-held. Reception dancing is much more exciting when shot hand-held on the dance floor than by tripod the entire time from the side. RC combines the best mix of both methods. Many videographers also use monopods (one stick instead of three) to shoot their weddings. It is RC's opinion that monopods aren't a good alternative to tripods. It is very easy to make many un-smooth, jerky zooms and pans while on a monopod. Sound: Sound quality is as important as (some argue more important) visual quality. RC strives for great audio as well as a great video. For example, RC uses additional unconventional mini recorders instead of interference-prone wireless mics to clearly pick up ceremony readers. RC knows how to edit and "sweeten" audio to enhance your wedding video. Editing: How your wedding video is edited is very important. RC does not only edit the weddings we shoot. Three other independent wedding videographers trust RC to edit their own footage, even though their shooting styles vary.
