Written 2001
When I was ten years old, I started writing short "books". My first so-called novel was titled, Abducted. From then on, I saw myself writing forever. I never realized it then, but I really loved writing. As well as that, I drew pictures and sketches -- something I had always enjoyed. In junior high, an assignment called for writing one simple poem. I had stressed over it, and at the last minute, scribbled words down on a piece of paper. I thought it was ridiculous. Soon, thereafter, I wrote more, believing that it was the most expressive way to show my inner thoughts. I've grown in my way of expressions, and I am sure that is the way it's supposed to be. However, I feel that in order to write, you can't just do it to do it; but you have to have the desire to do it. I grew that hunger, and I have never felt so open about anything in my life. To my teachers, my family, my friends -- without you, I would have no passion, for you are my inspirations...thank you.
