Q. Katie, how long have you been a Bondage & Fetish Model ? 

A.  Well, I've been a professional internet model for about a year and a half, but I started long before that in custom shoots and video. I've also done some clothes modeling and been a leg model before doing the bondage & fetish shoots. When I first started, about 8 years ago, I was a lifestyle submissive that enjoyed bondage, so I did a lot of custom work and TFP (Time For Prints) shoots.

Q. What's your "head space" like when you're in bondage, or being tied up ?    

A.  I totally get into the submissive "head space" when I'm preparing for a shoot. I think it's really important in getting the realism that the shooter is looking for in the shot. Anyone can get tied up, and many can pose well, but most of the time it looks like a pose. The viewer who is "in th scene" or in the "lifestyle" can usually spot a poser in a minute and will be disappointed. I am in this lifestyle and have lived it for more than 10 years, so it's actually pretty easy for me to get "in the headspace" when I'm bound and gagged os being tied up. 

Q.  I've seen you wear a variety of gags in your photos, do you have a favorite ?

A.  I would have to say that my favorite is the ball gag. I love the way it looks and the wys it feels when I'm wearing it. A close second would be what's called a "penis gag". That really throws me deep into the submissive frame of mind having my mouth filled with the gag and not being able to get it out of my mouth. The ability to speak is definitely much more difficult !!! 

Q. Do you have any particular poitions that you would consider as your favorites ?

A.  I have a preference for some of the more intense stuff, like the Strappado and the Hog Tie. Being so slender, it is fairly easy for my elbows to be tightly bound touching each other. Other than that, I like most types of bondage as long as it's not too loose or it's something I could easily get out of. I also like positions where a spreader bar is used.

Q. Do you have a preference between rope, leather restraints or chain ? 

A.  That's a tough question... Good rope bondage can be a real turn-on and I like the process of being tied up. I like the stringency of rope bondage, but leather is so sensual to me. There's something really erotic about being bound in leather cuffs with a padlock on them. And I lov the inescapable sensation of a nice leather armbinder. 

Q. Would you do a custom video or photo series ?

A.  Absolutely !!! I have done this a number of times, both video and stills. When a fan wants a custom. they contact me and tell me what they are interested in having me do. The videos range from 30-45 minutes and are on VHS format. The stills can be emailed digitally or put on a CD and mailed to the person who ordered it. Q.  I'd love to tie you up and gag you ! Do you ever let yours fans do a shoot or tie ?

A.  Yes, I have had quite a few fans schedule a photo or video shoot. The fees are the same as they would be if I were working for another photographer. As far as tying me up, well, I have, on occassion, allowed a fan to attend a shoot that I am doing with my photographer and do the ties. Q.  Are you also a Fetish Photographer ?

A.  Yes, and a Bondage Rigger as well. My partner and I shoot for a number of bondage and fetish web sites. I am also a Professional Dominatrix in Los Angeles and am quite adept with the bondage and positions. 

Q.  Do you have any advice on how to become a Bondage & Fetish Model ? 

A.  First off, make sure that it's something that you really want to do, and make sure that you don't mind family or friends knowing it. If you are on the internet, you are there for the world to see and it really is a small world !!! If is is what you wnt to do, then get some photos shot so you have something to show. Many good photographers will do a TFP (Time For Prints) shoot with you. You will not get paid, but will get the photos for your portfolio. At that point, join some of the eGroups or eClubs an line, post your photos and let the photographers know you are available. If you have the look and/or potential, it will come. Q.  What are your rates for a photo or video shoot ?

A.  My rates are industry standard, but I prefer to negotiate a half day or daily rate. I also take into consideration what the photographer wants in the shoot. The rates could be higher or lower depending on the inteensity or complexity of the bondage. Another reason why I like about the negotiated rate is that there is less concern on time and everything is much more flexible. I don't want a photographer rushing his ties or shots and getting content that neither of us will be happy with. I prefer to negotiate a deal that will satisfy us both, and get good content.

Q.  When doing a photo or video shoot, what are your limits ?

A.  I'm pretty flexible in what I will do, but I will draw the line with anything that might endanger my emothional or physical well being. Sex is also a limit... I am there to work, and although it can be enjoyable, it isn't a date !!!

Q. For those of us not in Los Angeles... Do you ever travel ? 

A.  Yes, I am willing to travel, and do so on ocassion. I like to have enough notice so I can attempt to put together some other shoots on the trip so that the expenses can be shared. I frequently travel to the San Francisco Bay area and Las Vegas, so shoots there are much easier and cost effective.
