PHOTO PAGE 1
These are some photos of the jeep during construction before most parts were painted.  The top left pic is a view of the hub adapters.  They're mainly a ring of 1/4" styrene that connects the R/C hubs to the SOTW wheels.  The hubs fit inside the cylindical part of the SOTW wheels with the adapters over them (I don't know I ever figured this out, but it works).  The next pics show some of the upainted styrene and brass parts I added.  Note the finished bumper has a piece of aluminum (with a U-shaped cross section) that fits over the white styrene you see in the picture.
The following pictures show the unfinished dash area, as well as the brass spare tire mount and the tow hitch.  The spare tire mount has tiny brass nuts soldered to the reverse side.  This way you can take the spare tire on and off with three tiny brass bolts just like the real thing.  Also shown are the grab handles which are made from bending and crimping steel tubing.  The brackets for the top bows are another part made from aluminum sheet metal, and function so that the bows can raise and lock in position.  The final photo shows what my work area was looking like when I finished.  I did a good deal of this project on the kitchen table sense it was winter and the garage was down to 20 degrees.
