| This is my crazy WWII Radio Controlled Jeep project. I started this project in the winter of '99 and it took me about a year and a half before I was fully done with it. The main components I used were a Soldiers of the World Jeep body, a Tamiya Mountaineer Chassis, and a Futaba 4 channel radio. It took many modifications to the body and the chassis to get them to both fit together. To see more check out the pictures on the Jeep photo page, and for shots of the trailer click on the other link above. |

| This jeep is designed to represent a Ford made GPW manufactured in 1943. I chose Ford over Willys due to the look of the seats and the shape of the steering wheel. I still haven't gotten around to put divisional markings on the bumpers, but eventually it will have something coresponding to use in the Normandy campaign. Currently, I'm also finishing up work on a jeep trailer. The trailer will have working suspension, landing leg, brake lights, etc. Technical info: Main power source(drive): 7.2Volt R/C battery Lights/horn/smoke: 3 Volt Dash lights/Sound system: 9 Volt Max Speed: approx. 20 mph Run time: 15 mins. (drive battery) Weight: 12 lbs. w/batteries, 10lbs. w/o |
