| The frame, cab and stake bed are made mostly from wood. And the doors, fenders, and hood are sheet metal. When I couldn't decide what kind of bumper to make I ended up using the one I cut off my SOTW Jeep a long time back. The grill has real screen and the lights are a bicycle part with Jeep lenses. I'm really glad how the bed turned out. It pretty much was a mixing process of brown and grey wood stains that ended up making it look good and used. And lastly, after a good amount of searching I finally found a couple pairs of vintage Hasbro wheels. They could be a little bigger, but they have a nice look on this vehicle. Overall dimensions of the truck are 33"L x 11.5"W x 12.5H so it's a good bit bigger than a Jeep, but not too large that the wheels look real tiny (and it still fits in the cramped garage which is important) Thanks to all who helped me find parts! |
