Below you will see what have been some of the most underestimated of all the Musclecars. When the first Buicks started showing up on race tracks across the country all the mainstream racers couldn't contain their laughter at least until they began to understand and see the times these cars were turning out in the quarter. It was only then that these cars started to be recognized, taken seriously and their potential and power appreciated.

Ward's 1970 Buick Skylark Custom

It is a 105,000 mile 1970 Skylark Custom. Original color repaint in Burnished Saddle, bench seat, 350/2BBL, cold AC. Motor is stock with only a re-curved HEI distributor exchange 1 3/8" front sway bar. Boxed lower arms in back with poly graphite bushings and 1" sway bar. 10 bolt 8.5" rear with rebuilt posi and 3.42 gears. Sport steering wheel. Air bags in back, KYB gas-adjust shocks all the way around. Trans go shift kit with B+M cooler on TH-350. Re-chromed rear bumper. 2 1/4" dual exhaust with glasspacks (yuk). Initial timing 10 degrees, with everything else in by 2800. Ward Has some upgrades in mind for this car so stay tuned and watch as this car is transformed.
