Another day we took a walk up past Retampata, some property that Marleny's family owns.  Some of the eucalyptus trees in the area are over 100 feet tall.  Stanley decided to climb one that was about five feet tall.
These eucalyptus trees are only about ten years old and about 30 feet tall.  Stanley is sitting in a molle tree.  It has clusters of little red berries like pepper corns.  When you rub the leaves on bug bites they stop itching.  The crushed leaves smell really neat.
Another day I went up to the trout farm with my nephews Leo and Christian.  Leo is in the yellow sweater holding Stanley.  The blue thing is a valve that lets river water run into the fish ponds.  Can you see the cows pastured up on the hillside?  My dad used to say, "The hill is so steep that the cows' legs grew longer on one side than the other."  Sheep and goats can climb around on even steeper hills.
This is down river from the fish farm.  In some places the rock is very soft.  Here the river has cut through the rock and made little channels.
On the way home we crossed this foot bridge.  Stanley was scared so Leo let him ride on his hat.
There was a very pretty rainbow one day.  This was taken just up the street from our house.
