Resources for Small Group Ministry

Quote of the Day
"Some people speak of "dark nights," others of dryness. But the Word of God is never really dark or dry. It is lustrous water, flowing over me. It may seem to be just words for me today, but as the Word of the Lord washes over my mind and heart, I feel it cleaning, cleansing deeply, smoothing, calling forth the beauty."

Good to Great
(Korean translation)

Good to Great is the best business book that I have ever read.  That is saying a lot given that I'm 50 years old and have read voraciously since the third grade!  The concepts in Good to Great are definitely applicable to ministry.  I was so excited to discover that Jim Collins had written a Monograph for the Social Sectors (above middle) that I ordered it on the spot.  When it arrived I read it through immediately and began to share it with my partners in ministry.  I cannot recommend it enough.  -CM

I Am With You Always: True Stories of Encounters With Jesus...

Tears Again
There is a mystery about tears sometimes, when they appear as a gift divine descending like a torrent or a flood that nothing can deter, stop, dam.  They come unbidden, swift.  Their flow is free, and yet they are a weight that prostrates a soul to earth and seems to push it into dirt until it is one with it.
There is a mystery about tears sometimes, as if they were not human but divine. . . as if the heart of God could not contain its pain and in his love has found one to share his tears.
There is a mystery about tears sometimes, when one knows without knowing that his soul must cry.  For tears like that alone, can pierce a stony heart that does not want to love.
