Well we have arrived in Canada. The trip was good but exhausting. Aico and the two cats did great. They were wonderful. It took the animals a couple of weeks to adjust. The one cat, Simba he is still a little weary. As soon as we find the camera, I will post pictures of the cats too. Aico is just starting to feel real comfortable with his new surroundings. The neighbourhood has many puppies and Aico loves to socialize with them. When we arrived, the temperatures were minus 23 degrees celcius. Aico never minded these temperatures. He felt he should be going for his long walks just the way we did in Switzerland. I tried hard to get out of them and took short cuts. Real short cuts, I cut the walks to 5 minutes. Well that is the first experience I had where my Curly and I did not agree. He started chewing on things in the house, like my door frame hm.... on the NEW house, or the legs on my chair. Within no time, I gave in and Aico won the battle of the walks. We now go at least twice a day for 45 Minutes plus training plus playing in the yard. Through the increased exercise that he is getting, we are getting along just fine again. Oh yes, as soon as we find an opening, WE are starting obedience training. My dearest Curly whom I love very very much, will learn to come EVERYTIME when called and not just when he feels like it.

Now that we have settled in, unpacked and learned where the important places are such as Trails, Retriever Clubs, Obedience Classes and of course other puppies, things are going very well for all of us. Aico has started obedience classes and we are having a blast. We have so much fun at the classes as well as at home practicing. Aico also goes for field training about once a month. He is such a ham, he loves to be the clown no matter where. Hmm... this may be a Goetz thing...then my son Patrick, he too is always clowning around. Has Aico possibly learned from Patrick? What have they been doing while I was sleeping? Hey check out the Gallery, I have changed the page around. I linked it to another Web Site, where I can create Galleries and / or Slide Shows. I will be adding more pictures soon.
What an update? October 22. 2004
I know it has been more than a while. Alot of things have happened since March. Aico tuned one on the 11th of October. Happy Birthday to all his other siblings. We have had a busy summer, obecience classes, agility and a two week trip to the east coast kept us busy. Agility is something Aico enjoys very much, sadly the season has come to an end. However obedience is ongoing and fun. He makes sure I pay attention because he likes to get bored easely. And believe you me that is not good. He is a terror when bored. On October 30th we are heading to Soft Maple Kennels. We are so excited to take Aico there and view Cathy Lew's litter and dogs. I will keep everyone posted. I have also changed the Gallery link, it is now set up so that viewing the pics is fast and easy, all in thumb nails. Feel free to check it out. There are lots of Photos there. Aico has matured into a real adolesent, he listens wit one ear only unless the word is FOOD. Trust me, then he is the first one willing to co-operate. He is a very loving and has a will to please like no other dog I ever owned. More later.
