No way! Welcome to the Tenth Kingdom.
It seems like just another ordinary day for Virgina who lives on the edge of the forest(well Central park anyways). She sets a plate a barbaque ribs in the microwave for her father Tony, the janitor, grabs her bike, and starts her ride through Central Park to her job at The Grill on the Green. Little does she know, far away the stage is being set for a big adventure.
In another land, a guard at the Snow white Memorial prison hears a sharp noise behind him and then is knocked out. He didn't even see it coming; probably because the person who hit him, Relish the Troll King, is wearing his invisible shoes. He breaks his three miserable excuses for trolls children out of jail when he hears a voice in his head calling to him. He follows the voice and ends up at the cell of the most guarded an dangerous prisoner, the Evil Queen. Stupidly enough, he opens the door and the queen is free to carry out her evil plan. Just then Prince Wendell(Snow White's Grandson) arrives for his 5 year rebutal of the queen's paroll. Unfortunately for him, he is captured and turned into a dog so he can't get help. The queen plans to lock him up and use the imposter prince to gain power, but before she has a chance to chain him he runs away into the prison corridors. The queen immediately finds a sharp smelling half wolf(named Wolf) to track him down(she knows that those trolls won't catch him!). Low and behold Wendell finds a rare traveling mirror which shows him central park. Hearing Wolf behind him he decides to risk it and jumps in.............and with a twist of fate lands right in front of Virginia. Wolf enters a minute later in another area.
Virginia takes the dog to her work but wolf tracks the dog, so she leaves and heads to her grandmother's house to spend the night. Wolf finds out where Virginia lives and goes there but only finds Tony. Wolf trades Tony a magic wishing bean in exchange on information where Virginia might be. ALso at this time the troll children finally find their way into central park, and thinking that they are the first ones to discover this land, they christen it the 10th Kingdom.
Virginia groggily wakes up the next morning next to the dog she found. She calls for her granmother and goes to her grandma's room to find her. BUT under the covers instead is Wolf!!! He falls in love immediately and starts to pursue her all over the house until she pushes him out the window. She grabs her things and heads out the door to return the dog to central park.
Tony really hasn't had that much luck either. Even though he has gotten his wishes, they all seem to backfiring and of course, just his luck, the police show up and put Tony in the police car.
Wolf is determined to win Virginia and decides to stop at a book cart in Central Park and finds such books as "How to Marry the Girl of your Dreams".
Virginia takes the dog to the stop she found him and begs him to go home.
Tony has had enough and wishes to escape from the police car and of course he does but not with out making a big scene.
The police car knocks over the book stand and sends Wolf running into central park......
Tony finds virginia, and to make things easier wishes he could talk to the dog. Wendell(the dog) tells tony they must find the mirror and despite the police force and the troll chilren that are growing nearer they manange to jump into the mirror.
Suddenly, they aren't in central park anymore they are in the magical land of the nine kingdoms, well Snow White's memorial prison anyway. Unfortunately Tony and Wendel end up being caught by guards while Virginia is captured by trolls that came in shortly after them.
In the mean time Wolf finds his way back to the 9 kingdoms and manages to track down his dreamy girl and save her from the trolls by using a fake shoe present. They steal the magic invisible shoes and together go back to the prison to try and save Tony and Wendel. However, Tony has actually managed to escape so now the four(which includes the dog) have a new task; to find the magic mirror that brought them there.
Meanwhile the queen has returned to her home and plans on training the fake Wendel to act like a prince.
The four find a boat so they can try to find the barge that tony threw the mirror on when he was in prison. Of course there just happens to be a magic gold fish on the boat and Tony has to stick his finger in it casuing his finger to turn evrything into gold.
They see the barge and land. Unfortunately the mirror isn't there but before they set off in the direction it was last seen, Tony manages to turn the threee trolls and Wendel into gold.
Carrying the golden Wendel on a cart the three travelers head into the deep dark wood. On their journey they happen to stay with some gypsies and after angering them, Virginia's hair is cursed to grow long forever. That night they camp out at the old wrecked cottage of the seven dwarves.
Unknowingly to them the evil queen has called her evil huntsman to hunt them down.....
The next day Wolf tells them that they will have to hide for a while because Virginia's hair is slowing them down. Unfortunately the huntsman finds them and captures Virginia. However, wolf manages to save virginia and breaks the curse by chopping her hair off from an enchanted ax owned by Juilet(a axman).
They find acorn, the dwarf who had the mirror but he sold it in the Little Lamb Village. So they set off and when they see that the mirror is a prize for a shepardess competition Virginia enters and wins(thanks to Wendel who is magically made real again). However just as they are about to go home Wolf is deemed guilty of murder. But don't worry, Virginia and Tony manage to prove that he is innocent!
Oh no! the magical mirror has been taken with the farmer's pigs to market, so the four have to go to kissing town to find it again. Luckily they find it, but unfortunately it has been marked as a valuable mirror. Even though they raise enough the huntsman buys it first. Tony trys to sneakily take it but breaks it giving him super bad luck. Wolf trys to propose to Virginia but when she finds out she could have used the money to go home she gets mad at him and he runs off, promising to serve the queen. And guess what? The trolls are unfrozen!!
Tony, Wendel, and Virginia figure out the mirror was made in Dragon mountain, so they go there only to find out the last mirror is in the hands of the evil queen. After an chat with Snow White Virginia feels renewed, until she learns the (SPOILER) the evil queen is her mother. To top it off Wendel is finally captured by the trolls.
The road to the palace takes them through the swamp and they almost die, until wolf saves them and after an eventful rest, leads them to the palace, where the queen has already arrived and black-mailed the staff to follow her plans to murder all the guests at Wendel's(well the imposter Wendel now)coronation.
They try to stop the queen, but she locks them up and uses the poison wolf brings to murder the guest. Vriginia trys to reason with her mother, and for a second there is love in her eyes but then she turns cold again and in order to survive Vriginia is forced to(BIG SPOILER) kill her mother with a poison hair pick. But at least her mother dies finally telling Virginia what she wanted to hear, that she loved her little girl.
The next instant everyone wakes up because the poison was only a sleeping potion, Wolf was really on Virginia's side. At dinner that night Virginia finds the magical ring Wolf proposed to her with and when he tells her she has a wolf cub inside of her, she knows she has to marry him. Virginia and Wolf(now a sort of a Grand wolf)) go back to New York while Tony stays to be an inventor for the king. Virginia and wolf start to live happily ever after, but they were immediately called to the kingdoms for another crisis(Hopefully soon!).
