Ariel is the main character of the little mermaid. She is a 16 year old red haired mermaid with a green tail who lives in the undersea palace of Atlantica with her father and 6 sisters. She is a very adventurous, independent, and yet very caring. Her best friend is Flounder and they have many wonderful yet scary adventures together. Ariel also has the most beautiful voice in the sea. However, Ariel isn't completly satisfied with her life as a mermaid, she wants something more, to be part of the human world. She spends her time singing and dreaming about the world above and collects as many human artifacts as she can(her favorite being the dinglehopper).
Flounder: (Voiced by Jason Marin)
Flounder is the timid yet sweet best friend. Even though he gets scared, when his friend needs help, he is ready to lend a hand. He accompanies Ariel on all her adventures, even though he is nervous that something bad might happen. He is a little yellow fish with blue stripes whose nickname is often; Guppy.
Sebastian:(Voiced by Samuel E. Wright)
Sebastian the crab is the musical director of the palace. He would love to spend his days writing symphonies and relaxing but always ends up keeping an eye on Ariel. Sebastian is very loyal to the king and will tell him when Ariel isn't doing what she is supposed to. However he really is a soft shell and ends up being roped in to Ariel's plans.
Scuttle:(Voiced by Buddy Hackett)
Of all the birds on land, Scuttle definetly isn't the brightest. He spends most of his time flying around or looking through his telescope at his island. He is an expert on human things but doesn't have a very nice singing voice.
Triton:(Voiced by Kenneth Mars)
King Triton is the ruler of all the merpeople in Atlantica. He never goes anywhere with out his trusty trident. He has seven daughters and was presumably married but his wife's whereabouts are a mystery. He is a very strict man with high blood pressure and spends most of his free time admonishing Ariel for going to the surface. The one thing he hates more than anything is HUMANS!!! However even though he may lose his temper, he loves his daughters and just wants to protect them from the fisheater's hooks.
Ariel's Sisters: Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, and Allana
Prince Eric:(Voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes)
Prince Eric is a handsome prince who is being forced by everyone to "settle down". Eric, however, is just waiting for the right girl. He is a very kind and brave guy, he will do anything to rescue someone, and also very cute! His hobbies include taking strolls on the beach, playing his pan flute, playing with his dog Max(who knows his villians), and sailing on the ocean.
Ursula:(Voiced by Pat Carroll)
Ursula is a jealous octopus who is a sea witch. Since she was banished from Atlantica, all her energy is focused towards revenge on Triton and taking the trident. She loves her pet eels, helping poor souls so she can add to her garden, and of course plotting revenge. She lives in the bones of an old stegasaurus and is wasting away(although if she has lost alot of weight..wow)
Flotsam & Jetsam:(Both voiced by Paddi Edwards)
These are Ursula's little poopsies. They always travel together and have magic eyes, that when joined help Ursula spy.
Grimsby:(Voiced by Ben Wright)
Grimsby is sort of Eric's man in waiting. He is very prim and organized so his job is to keep Eric safe and on schedule. He detests getting dirty and wants Eric to find a princess to marry.
Carlotta:(Voiced by Edie McClurg)
She is in charge of the household. During the day she keeps the house in order and takes care of guests. It's her job to keep an eye out for Louie
Louie:(Voiced by Rene Auberjonois)
Louie is the energetic French chef. He loves fitting in french words into songs and cooking fish. His favorite activity is looking out for sebastin so he can stuff him.
