Legolas' Quiver Straps, continued
These fabulous pictures were captured off the Special Edition FotR DVD.
The top one shows the buckle where all three straps intersect. The other arrow points to how a single strap goes around one of the knife sheaths. See below.
IF ONLY I had this picture when I made my quiver! Okay, enough with the wailing.
The red squiggly is a sheath of leather that holds the bow. Check out how the strap weaves through the sheath.. into it (arrow 2), up around the knife sheath, back down into the bow sheath, then back up around the knife sheath, then it goes into a little loop (arrow 1) so it can be tied off. I think that this loop helps hold the
loop that goes around the quiver in place.
We can't the the strapping that holds the bottom of knife sheaths as well (arrow 3), but it looks like the bottom of the sheaths get tied together, and then the strap goes through the bow sheath (4).
