| We took the car round the industrial estate and could hear slight rubbing coming from the back end of the car, so it was back up on the ramps. As it turned out the rear tyres were only just catching the spring cups on the struts. We put on some 3mm spacers and tried again. Good news, the tyres cleared. I was given a set of 40mm PI lowering spring for my birthday that year, fitting them would be another milestone. To everyone's surprise, the wheels did not rub after the car had been dropped and it looked alot better as it did not have the 4x4 stance any more. |

The car remained in this guise for another year while I figured out what I fancied doing next. To be honest I was quite happy with it as it was. I had my huge wheels, it had been lowered and it had my head unit, subs and amp from my wee XR2 I had before the Sierra. The next series of mods came through an unfortunate twist of fate rather than choice. |
