Welcome back to another installment of �THE OZ FACTOR�. The year 2007 brings to mind important dates and events regarding the subject of UFO history. This short list is as follows: 1) Roswell July 1947-60 year anniversary in 2007 2) �The Phoenix Lights� March 13, 1997-10 year anniversary 2007 3) President Ronald Reagan�s speech to the United Nations 9/21/87 of twenty years ago. Quote: �I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world, and yet, I ask you, is not an alien force already among us? 4) The recent UFO sighting reported at O�Hare airport in 2007 5) The 10 year anniversary of our own Bob Galganski as recipient of The coveted �Ufologist Of The Year Award� by the NUFORC organization for his research on �The Roswell Debris Field-An Engineers Perspective� ***Bob Galganski will be a guest speaker at the Roswell Convention this year in 2007! Please support our local �Native Son� if you can! Congratulations Bob-you are a rising star! 6) 3/22/07 The release of 1,650 French UFO database cases. 350 cases are currently online available for review and study. 7) The 1977 Release of The Steven Spielberg blockbuster �Close Encounters Of The Third Kind�. 30 years already! 8) The 27th anniversary of the Rendlesham Forest/Bentwaters UFO sightings case from Suffolk, England of 1980. 9) The April 2007 resignations of Don Ecker research director and wife Vicki Ecker senior editor of UFO magazine after 20 years in the business. (Or did they give us the business?!) 10) 157 years since more than 200 documented Washington DC UFO sightings began from 1850-2007! The 1957 incident �Stranger at The Pentagon and Stanton Friedman�s pioneering research into ufology and Roswell beginning in 1967. I think you get the idea. I will leave it there as far as the �7�s� go and hope my lucky streak continues on the subject of ufology. . . . . |
